Puliyogare is one of the traditional South Indian dish that is prepared during festivals as prasadm. If rice is cooked, preparation takes a jiffy. This tangy and spicy dish it’s an all-time favourite.
PULIYOGARE INGREDIENTS:
Dal – 2 tsp
Oil - 2 ½ tsp
Peanuts- 2 tbsp
Cashewnuts – 10 nos
Sona Masuri Rice ( cooked)- 600 gms
Curry leaves- 5-6
Salt- 1 tsp
Sharabeshwara foodsPuliogare Mix- half tbsp
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS:
Heat 2 1/2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a kadai
Once the oil is hot, add Dhal, Peanuts, Cashew Nuts (these are optional) and few curry leaves. Allow them to splutter.
Add half a tablespoon of Sharabeshwara foodsPuliogare Mix.
Stir for 2-3 minutes on a low flame.
Add Cashew Nuts.
Add Curry Leaves and fried Peanuts.
Add salt to taste.
Add 600g of Cooked rice and mix thoroughly. Use hands to mix evenly.
Keep aside for 30 mins and serve with papad or buttermilk/curd. Tastes best when served hot too.
